Dessert Recipes: Affogato (Coffee & Icecream) Recipe

World's easiest dessert - for grownups only! Delicious with a glass of Reynella Tawny Port. See our suggested wine matches.

Serves 6.


  • your favourite premium vanilla icecream
  • fresh hot coffee



  1. Place one or two scoops of icecream in a latte glass or coffee cup.
  2. Prepare some hot coffee (as strong as you like) and pour a small amount of coffee over icecream (just enough to not quite cover it).
  3. Optional extras are a shot of your favourite liqueur (such as grappa, Sambuca or Frangelico), or some crunchy almond biscotti or other nutty biscuits.
  4. Serve with a spoon, and perhaps a glass of Reynella Tawny Port.
